Summer?

As I am now finished with school (well, for 2 months at least), I have fallen into a predicament. This happens each year and I can never avoid it - the conflict between staying indoors and going out.
I have many things to door indoors such as move rooms, watch obscure shit films on Netflix and eat my weight in fruit, and as the weather has taken a turn for the worse, I feel as if I'm obliged to stay indoors. However I also feel obliged to make the most of the holidays whilst I'm still here in London, which includes socializing and actually being present in society. For the time being, I'm going to dedicate myself to finishing every season of Arrested Development - that is until my mum tells me to leave the house, or I get cabin fever.

The Usual Suspects, Prozac Nation and Capote

So, my blog is currently experiencing a renaissance and I have deleted all my old posts in the doing so - as they were predominantly trivial and uninteresting. Now I have more time on my hands as exams are coming to a close, I have compiled a list of all the films and books I've been longing to watch or read over the two years I've dedicated to GCSEs, and have not found the time to allocate to. THUS, my summer challenge begins.
So far I've watched 7 films in the short space of 5 days, and am only halfway through Atonement (a book I attempted to read aged eleven after seeing the film) and am enjoying it and have to admit that tears have already been shed.
The film I literally just finished watching on Netflix was Capote, a film for which I've read the blurb countless amounts of times and have never dedicated myself to watch it. So I sat down this evening and pushed on (although I should be revising for my maths exam tomorrow...) and I'm glad I did! The film was great and I think this was the best performance Phillip Seymour Hoffman has given, although he was brilliant in The Master. After watching the film, I've added In Cold Blood to my ever-growing reading list and hope to get through it soon.
